I took off the case to clean the inside of my Iphone 4GS and when I took off the case it cracked and chipped. I was dissapointed in the cheap plastic shell. And I am affraid that if I drop the phone the case will crack in half.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, cheap
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Appears to have been run over but phone is fine!

Long story short...phone left on top of car, fell off & found on road by lady who called one of my friends after finding it. My friend brought it to me. (I didn't even know it was missing at this point!) My phone was unscathed! The case was collapsed on the bottom and right side and it looks like that corner had been run over.
I am ordering the Defender version now. The Commuter gave it's life for my phone and I am so thankful, however since I am such a ditz, I had better go with the strongest version!
Pros: Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got the case in blue and white. Within the first few days of using it, the white case became dirty from putting them in my jeans pocket. Not only that, but after 1 month of using it the bottom blue piece broke off. I didn't even do any hard work as I am a student.
Pros: looks durable
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, white case gets dirty very easily from jeans
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The case is very protective for my phone. The white on the case dis colored within the first week. Wouldn't recommend this color. The cover for the charging port never closed completely. I thought that after a little ware it would stretch out a little and close but never did.
Pros: Durable

I have had my otterbox for 10 mos and have had it replaced 4 times! It keeps cracking on the ends and I'm not hard on it at all. If it's not in my purse (in a soft case), it's on the counter. Thankfully, I have been able to replace it, but the warrenty is only for a year. What do I do then?

I have had the avon pink and white commuter case on my iphone 4s for 8 months. The only complaint I have, is that the white part gets dirty quickly. However, the case protection quality is excellent. I just bought the dark teal and light teal commuter, just because I wanted a "prettier case". I've dropped the case several times on cement, hard enough to make it bounce and roll. Each time my iphone survived each fall without a scratch on it. After 8 months, there was only a hair line crack on the bottom right corner.
Pros: High quality, Durable, good enough to buy another one by choice

Great Case

This is the first case that I've ever bought for ANY phone and actually used. I normally don't like cases because they change the feel and size of the phone. But this case feels great in your hand. The iPhone was rather slippery to me and I loved the feel of the OtterBox. Not only does it feel great it really holds up and keeps your phone safe.
Some of the reviews talk about the silicon stretching out- I found that to be true on my first case - partly because I kept taking it off to show it off. Once I got my second case, I left it on and had no issues!
OtterBox in general has excellent customer service - if you are worried about spending money on a case - don't fear. They replace any broken cases - easy peasy - no fuss. Just fill out an online form, submit pictures and then your replacement case is on its way. You don't have to send in the broken case which is great!
Pros: High quality, Durable, great customer service
Cons: white silicone gets dirty easily
I would recommend this to a friend!

Otterbox Commuter for iPhone 4/4S

The case itself seems good. The silicone feels pretty solid and like it won't lose its shape easily. The polycarbonate shell clicked right into place. Installation was easy. I didn't use the provided screen protector, but there's one there if you need it. I got the viola one (white silicone with purple shell). The white silicone gets dirty days after installation. Luckily, it can be cleaned. That is the only major gripe I have with this case. Also, the case is fairly bulky and not very dockable, so be aware of that before making this purchase.
Pros: easy installation, stylish
Cons: gets dirty easily, somewhat bulky
