My old Defender case was wonderful; several years and nothing ever got inside to my iPhone. I just bought new Defender cases for our new iPhone 5C phones and I am VERY disappointed!!! The clear plastic cover over the keypad is no longer a solid piece of plastic - there are holes over the on/off button at the bottom of the screen and the microphone on the top. Both of these holes will allow moisture and dirt inside the case to the phone so I am probably going to return and buy another brand.
Pros: good warranty
Cons: holes allow dirt + moisture inside
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like the case, but the white rubber gets so dirty with makeup as well as the dirty hands of little children that steal your phone to watch the Disney Jr app....but overall a good case in a different color combination. I actually had to replace the rubber part with the black one my husband was done with when he got another case. Doesn't look as nice but it works.

I have purchased the commuter series case in pink and white. I love the case because of the protection it provides without the BULK! The only think I do not like about the case is the white rubbery part...is no longer white, after only about 2 weeks...=/

I've had my "Commuter" case for my iPhone 4s for two years. It's sturdy yet small in design. Easy to take on & off for cleaning.
I dropped my phone the other day. The side of the case broke and the phone was OK. I checked with Otter, and they FedX'd me a new case within 4 days. WOW. That is first class customer service.
