When you drop an 80 lb dumbbell on your cell phone and no damage done to the phone (also had screen protection), I think the product is pretty awesome.
The tough design flaw is the small plastic piece where the charger plugs in. It keeps breaking. The rubber flap by the audio gets stubborn sometimes, too.
Pros: High quality, Durable

My wife came to me and said that she broke her phone case by accident. I told her that Otter Box was a local company and that I would try to send in her broke case for a new one. She had her doubts about me getting her a new replacement case because of her past experiences with other companies. I knew she really liked the look and feel of her old one. Of course being the positive one in the conversation, I told her I would take care of it. So I went on the web site and followed the simple instructions. Within a day or two I received a confirmation that a new replacement was on it's way! It was the exact one, she was very pleased. Great Company, awesome customer service.

Would like to to start by saying that the commuter is a excellent product, it's design was what first got me to buy the otter box. The second thing to get me to buy the otter box was it's reputation. I work in a hostile enviroment and co-workers of mine had purchased the otter box, watching the daily use of their case weighed heavily on my decision to purchase one.
When my case cracked the team at otter box was fast to get all information from me and shipped a new replacement. This is what will keep me coming back! Great job Guys!!

I have had two break both within 3 months of having them and both in the same spot. Not sure if it is a manufacturing flaw or if they are just week at the bottom next to the charging outlet.
Cons: Not durable

I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the case... the hard outer case broke, within 6 months. The protector screen that they give with the case doesn't work well the paper product sticks so it is next to impossible to put it onto the phone to cover the front of the phone face.
I had heard such excellent things about Otter Box products. So I was very surprised with the problems I had.
However, I must say they really do stand behind the product and were very quick at sending out a new case. I just wish I could have upgraded and went for a more durable case after this one broke.
