It breaks and breaks... and then doesn't fit.

After hearing people's love affairs with their Otter Boxes, I was sold when I finally gave in and got an iPhone in 2012. They break pretty easily and I'm not even that rough on my phone! Thank goodness for the policy which allows me to get a new one.
In my almost two years of having the OtterBox, my phone has only acquired one minor crack- kudos? Maybe?
Recently I got yet another replacement, the issue this time? It doesn't fit properly! Something in the manufacturing must have slipped because the plastic does NOT fit to the rubber. Since I have the all black case, it's hard to show, but I attempted a picture.
I think with my next iPhone I'll switch to a different case maker.
Pros: customer service
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, poor fit

otter box is a waste of money

I have had my otterbox about 6 months. The outer plastic case has split and the inside soft case is severely discolored. I have not dropped my phone more the twice, I keep it in my pocket and that seems to be what caused the discoloration and the plastic to split.
Cons: Not durable

When the two pieces sit together with no phone in it it fits fine since the rubber will form to most situations. After you put the phone in the hard plastic does not fit properly on the one side so there for it gets caught on stuff and looks bad. I would return it but it would probably cost more than i paid for it in shipping.

It is small and very durable. Been dropped several times and hold up very well. I had the side crack but OtterBox sent me a new case. I am very happy with the product and service.

Will never buy again

I will never, under any circumstances, be purchasing an otterbox case again. This is the SECOND otterbox case I have owned in which my phone completely shattered from less than a two foot drop. Obviously, otterbox does not understand the concept of "shock resistant" I will never purchase another otterbox product and I will be sure to warn everyone I know of the poor quality of these cases.

After searching all the local stores I went to the source. Otterbox still had some cases for the iPhone 4s. They actually had a colored one, which is what my daughter wanted for her 4s phone. That combined with a discount on the case and discount shipping and we were happy campers.

I'm a fan of Otterbox having previously purchased the Commuter TL Series for the iphone 3gs. After searching online for protection for my new iphone 4s, I found myself back on the Otterbox site. I have many friends that use the Defender Series for their iphone 4. I've always felt it was just too bulky for my needs. I often carry my phone in my pants pocket, and do my best to prevent drops. The Commuter seems the right fit for my needs. I chose the classic black. The other color choices are too bright for my taste. I received my case 7 days after the scheduled ship date. Installation on my new 4s was easy. I would like to see a clear protectant added to the camera and logo openings on the back. However, the case fits the phone perfectly and should minimize dust build-up. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Pros: High quality, great size and weight
Cons: no protection for rear camera and logo openings
