Works great

I bought this case when I got my iPhone 4S back in October, and I've had no problem with it since then. It's a bit tricky to get on but once it's on, there is really no reason for me to remove it. I've dropped my phone a couple times and this case has saved the day. I like the colors, I like the feel. I have the same case and colors on my iPod touch, and I'm very happy with that one which is why I got the same style for my iPhone.
Pros: High quality, Durable, pretty

Commuter Series

I bought the Otter Box to protect my phone. I was really excited about the pink and white case. However the White part of the silicon got dirty within a week or so of my purchase and started pealing. I tried using soapy water to wash the silicon of the case and it did nothing. It's a bit bulky. But you can't expect good protection with a slim case.
The case itself offered good protection to the iphone. I dropped my case several times and my iPhone did not shatter. However the bottom of my OtterBoxcase cracked from a small drop it wasn't even on concrete. But I must say. I've very satisfied with the customer service. They will be replacing my case no questions asked.
Pros: it protects the iphone
Cons: the white silicon gets dirty really easily

Good Protection, Slimmer Profile

For the past several months, I have been using the Otterbox Defender Series to protect my iPhone. For the most part, I was very satisfied with the level of protection that the Defender offered. However, the bulkiness of the case left me desiring something a bit thinner and form fitting.
The Commuter series is a great case. Considering its relatively slim profile when compared to the Defender, the Commuter offers a good level of protection. It is a much more pocketable case. I would highly recommend this product to someone searching for a case that offers good protection without being too overbearing.
I have read several reviews that comment on the durability of this case over longer periods of time. For me, that is a non-issue considering Otterbox's excellent customer service. If you have any issues, Otterbox will send you a brand new case!

Commuter Series case more than enough

I have had the black Commuter case on my iPhone 4 for about 6 months now. I am very happy with it. I have dropped my phone several times from heights of 3-5 feet onto concrete/pavement/commercial flooring and it still looks like the day I bought it.
All the protective flaps on the openings close properly and the plastic outer shell allows the phone to slip in and out of my pants pockets with minimal interference.
I can't speak to the people complaining about the white getting dingy b/c my case is black. I would never put a white case on something that's handled as much as a phone.

Protected iPhone under water!!!

I have had my iPhone and otter box for about 1 1/2 years. It has been great with the daily usage, but today, while getting a pedicure I accidentally dropped it in the water bucket! I had to feel my way around the water to find my phone and it was still on and working!!! It didn't skip a beat. This otter box is not suppose to be water proof, and maybe I just got lucky, but I think the silicone cover was what protected it. I will only buy otter boxes in the future. Amazing product!! Thanks!!!

Design Flaw

I purchased the Commuter series case for my 4S- It was less bulky than the Defender series, but Otterbox indicated it provided similar protections. Less than 4 months after purchasing the case, I noticed a crack in plastic case underneath the home screen. I couldn't remember dropping it and I went through the warranty process to get a replacement. Less than a month after I got my replacement the EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED in the same place. This is obviously a design flaw. The same thing happened to a friend who has the same case. I am hoping Otterbox will help make this right, but I would not recommend the commuter case. My husband has the bulkier Defender case and has had no problems (and he has had his longer). It gets 2 stars because it's protected the phone well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Iphone 4S Commuter

Love the new design and the new silicone. So far, and I just got it, fits great nice and snug. Nice not too thick and not too thin silicone. Once the case was on and all was lined up I felt as if I could throw my phone across the room without a care in the world. I was worried about the silicone being to soft like the previous Iphone 4 Commuter....not the case at all. The new material is thick and a little more rigid. I think it's really going to hold it's shape in the long run. Might just have to buy another. Already had an anti glare screen protector, love that I now have a spare, and no worries. The silicone around the screen completely cover the edges and did not peel or bubble the screen protector. Wicked fast shipping too! Thanks for an amazing case. Great job Otterbox!!!!!
