I am using this product on an iPhone 4S
I am unable to use my docking devices because the case is too bulky.
The plastic piece which fits around the phone does not fit snugly and is not aesthetically pleasing this way.
I am not able to properly touch the edges of the screen to move the icons from page to page because the case is too bulky around the edges.
I can not easily get to the headphone jack or the charging port on the bottom of the phone.
It does not fit easily into my pocket because it has rubber around the edges and it catches on my jeans.
I do, however, like the fact that the phone is protected, though I know many people who have cracked iPhone screens and claim to have been using an Otterbox case.
The cons far outweigh the pros.

headphone jack isn't aligned

Just received this case today. Snug fit and seems very durable. However, I'm amazed at this design flaw: headphone jack on iPhone 4s doesn't line up with the hole in the case. It can still be accessed by opening the flap, but I can't believe it doesn't line up...especially considering a) the price, and b) everything else seems to be well designed. The case says it's for iPhone 4 AND 4S....I have a 4S so I don't know if the jack on the 4 is the same or not. This flaw needs to be fixed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have had several otter boxes for iPad and phone (defender series) and have not had a problem until we purchased this one. We bought this for our daughter's phone but it did not protect it at all. First drop and the back of her iPhone shattered. They may not like the bulkier defender series but it's better than replacing a phone.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i purchased an otterbox recently for the sole purpose of protecting my iphone. im a mother who doesnt use the phone on a building site or anywhere dangerous, i purchased it to prevent the screen from breaking.
today my phone fell less than 1 foot out of my bag flat onto the ground and the front screen shattered!
i believe the reason that shattered the screen was from pressure from the case.
i have paid alot for a case that didnt at all help my phone and now am without a phone.
so instead of enjoying a slim cute iphone i turned it into a traidie phone to protect it but did it help... NO!!
they claim there is no warrantee coverage for content in the case but surely the fact that they sell these cases to protect the phone there should be a large warning when purchasing the case. if i knew my screen would still break i personally wouldnt have spent a small fortune purchasing the case.
consider the pros and cons before considering if this product is right for you!

I bought a commuter otterbox case in the white and pink when I bought my new iphone 4s. The salesman put on my case and I went on my merry way. After about one week of owning it, I noticed that the white rubber portion of my case was getting a little dingy. No problem, I know I give my phone heck. I googled a few different ways to clean it and spent a good hour scrubbing with a bleach/vinegar mixture and it was good as new! But less than a week later it was grossly dingy again. I scrubbed it again, very annoyed at this point and I got it back to an off-white color. Now it has two months since I got this phone and I don't even bother cleaning it anymore. I am ordering a new case, just not from otterbox. For what I paid, I expected a better product. But for protection, I have to say, my phone doesn't have a scratch on it.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Low quality, white rubber gets gross!

Great Purchase!

I love this product! I got the turqoise Commuter Series and it shipped the next day...took about 4 days to reach NYC from Colorado, but I got the ground shipping via FedEx. The outside is pretty hard and it has a rubber primary encasing, so you don't have to worry about your phone banging around since its a pretty snug fit. I have a verizon iphone 4s and the case fit perfectly fine. The phone jack and AC jack both have flaps that close the opening when not in use...I find this very useful because that way, foreign objects from your pockets or bags won't get randomly stuck inside these parts. I do have one gripe however that I have noticed was prevalent in other comments: the screen protector that mine came with was a little bent at the top, so I wasn't able to completely get rid of the bubble around the earpiece...kind of annoying Otterbox! Otherwise, I really like this case. Its not overbearingly bulky like some of the other series and adds little to no extra weight to my phone! :)
Pros: High quality, Durable, protective
Cons: messy packaging

I just got this today and I love it! Screen protector is great and it fits very nicely on my 4s. I will say that if u order the teal one do not expect a more green color. Mine is a pastel blue which is gorgeous and I'm even more happy! So just keep the color thing in mind if that's not what color your looking for. Love it, buy it!

My only complaints are that it is hard to get rubber case in the hard plastic properly. It is a huge pain but maybe it's just mine. The next problem I have with this case is the head phone jack cover is perfect for most headphones, but not all. I have to completely remove the case to use some head phones.
Once on, the two layer design is really cool and the case has the perfect amount of "grip and slip" to hold it securely, but also get it in and out of tight jean pockets. It also isn't very bulky and doesn't take away from the slim design of the iphone.
