The product did its job

I purchased this product the same day I got my iPhone 4s. Two days later I dropped my phone on to my tile in the kitchen. The phone was fine but the case broke up top by the hole for the camera. The case did its job and protected the phone.
Cons: Not durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great case

I had to order two warranty replacements until I finally got a case that fit the phone well. I think that the first batch they sent out had serious manufacturing flaws. My first two cases came with a very firm and thick silicone that just did not fit the plastic cover. After sending two of these versions back, I finally got a case with a more soft silicone that fit flawlessly. I must admit that I was very impressed with Otterbox's customer support who were fantastic throughout the entire ordeal. To sum it up, even though it took two replacement cases, I am very happy with the Commuter case upgrade and would highly recommend the case to anyone.
Pros: Durable, great size

Nice Cover

I really like this cover on my phone, it fits really well in my pocket and feels great in my hand. If you don't really wanna spend a whole lot for a nice phone case I def. would recommend this. I have an iphone 4 from Verizon and never had any problem fitting my phone in this case

Disappointed

If you are counting on using the screen cover, think again. It comes with a sticker on it that leaves an unremoveable residue on it when removed, rendering it useless. I had factored this into the price when comparing brands. I am disappointed, mainly because it is perfectly obvious how to install a screen cover without the overload of instructions Otterbox provides on how to do so. The sticker is/was unneeded.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Inconsistent Manufacturing

I have puchased 4 iPhone 4s Commuter cases for myself and my family. The internal rubberized membrane is of differing density. On the ones with a firmer rubberized membrane, the button controls are harder to press but the case fits tighter against the phone, particularly where the membrane is not supported by the hard outer shell. I personally like the firmer rubber BUT not so much the harder button press. If Otterbox fixed this issue the case would be perfect. The model numbers on all of the cases are the same and are all suffixed with '-B'.
Cons: inconsistent manufacturing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Case & Excellent Customer Service

I purchased the Commuter case in Avon Pink/White after my friend raved about how great it was for moms, being a new mom I figured I'd give it a try. The white silicone shell still hasn't gotten dirty and it's been almost a year since I bought it. It's been dropped multiple times, and even chewed on by my toddler and my Iphone's still in perfect condition. I had trouble deciding between the Defender and Commuter but really liked the more minimal design of the Commuter. The screen protector it comes is easy to apply & doesn't get the air bubbles that plague other brands. When a small piece broke off the top I contacted Otterbox customer service, emailed in a few photos and within a few hours was notified my replacement case was on it's way. Very impressed with the no hassle replacement service I received. I recommend this product to everyone, especially moms.
Pros: High quality, Durable, not too bulky, high quality included screen protectors, nice looking

Disappointed

I have had my otterbox for my 4s for about 3 months and it worked wonderfully-up to today. I was in the parking lot and my phone slipped out of my pocket. Fell about 4 feet and screen is COMPELETELY shattered. Very disappointed in the Communter case; i expected it to be more protected. Now i have a scattered screen and a case i dont trust. Saving up for a lifeproof.
Pros: Durable
Cons: not fully protected against falls
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first one I bought, cracked about 8 months after purchasing it but then was quickly replaced under warranty and I've now had that case for more than 2 years and I've had absolutely no issues with it
