Night blue/ocean is so-so in finish

The Night blue/ocean seems doesn't fit as well as the black one of the same type, the Commuter for the 4S. I think quality control has slipped a bit. This is my fourth Otterbox and this latest one has gone down in quality a bit.
Pros: Durable
Cons: finish not solid

The right case for me

When I ordered my iPhone 4S, I started shopping for a case that was going to protect it. The Otter Box Commuter is the best case for me. It might not be the strongest case out there, but I feel it adds a high level is protection without being bulky. I like how the inner rubber part of the case is exposed through the outer hard case to give just enough grip in the hands, but not too much to where it stick in the pocket. All the ports, plugs and buttons line up perfectly to the iPhone 4S. My Monster Cable 3.5 cord is a little too big for the opening in the case. I drilled out the opening in the hard plastic case with a stepped uni-bit, the cable now fits and you have to look close to even notice it, and it almost looks like it was made that way. Part of the case has a rubber flap covering the bottom connection that seems to be in the way for docking the phone, I think a razor blade to cut it off would work if I needed to. I am very happy with this case, I wouldn't trade it for another.
Pros: Durable, High quality

Had potential

I liked the case when I first bought it but grew frustrated with the headphone jack cover that only accommodates small head phones. Huge inconvenience! Then when the phone took a three foot fall (my daughter dropped it) the back of my phone shattered and requires I leave the phone case on so glass shards don't stick in unwanted places. Running the other day, that small headphone jack began to force my headphones out angering me on my run. It sounded like a skipping CD. A coworker just got his commuter case and the rubber has been peeling off. I own a Defender case for my IPAD 2 and had one for this phone, both are great quality so it's not all cases just this one.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, interferes with phone fetters
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Cover

I have this cover in pink and white. I have never had a problem with the white rubber on mine turning yellow or looking dirty! I have had my cover since September and it still looks new. Ive even drop mine in mud and it just wipe right off. I dont know what these people are doing to cause theirs to turn. I carry mine n my pocket and have drop it a few times and have no issues!

Great Case!

This is a great case and offers excellent protection. It is well made and durable however, taking on and off multiple times could result in damage to the silicone skin. Also, the white skin seems to get very dirty rather quickly, and the headphone jack is very small and only accomodates very small plugs. Otherwise a great product.

I bought the comuter otterbox in purple and white, love it except that the white silicone went dirty looking within 3 weeks. I sent in a complaint and my silicone was replaced within a week. The second silicone did the same thing. I sent a complaint report again today and I had a reply within an hour (on a weekend) and the customer care agent was great!! they are willing to replace it again in a colour of my choice. I do love the purple and white as my phone is white, but I am going to try a black one as my son has no complaints at all about his black one. Thank you otterbox

At first loved it, but now boo

Loved this case at first, but after about a year it has not held up. I drop my phone all the time, so an Otter box was recommended to me. I liked how this design was less bulky, but I have dropped my phone a handful of times in the case and I have chips all over it now. The face, the back, etc. This case doesn't do a good job of protecting your phone. Also, it doesn't fit in chargers, etc. with the case on. I say go with another model. Booo :(.
Pros: not bulky
Cons: Not durable
