Great Case!

I got this case free with my phone when I traded in my blackberry and upgraded to the iPhone 4S. I didn't like it at first, I have the midnight/ocean blue one. My plan was to buy a new one asap. But I love this case! The protection is great, and the added screen protector was a nice touch. I would give it five stars, but the silicone part does get pretty dingy, and it's also a little hard to get off. But it's a great case, great protection, and it isn't bulky at all. I've dropped my phone a few times and it's still in perfect condition. Totally recommend.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: silicone layer gets dingy

Best Case for an iPhone 4 / 4S... PERIOD!

I have been using the Commuter for a little over a year now and it's got to be one of the best cases around for someone who needs something more than a case that just looks good..
I have owned the Otterbox Defender, Otterbox Reflex and Lifeproof cases - and none of them suit me as well as the Commuter.
I'll be honest..
I used the Defender for a week...
I used the Reflex for two months..
AND I used the Lifeproof case for about 6 hours..

I found that the Commuter was the case best suited for my lifestyle...
As an aside, I am writing this roughly one hour after purchasing the Commuter 4S. I purchased it after a tear formed in the rubber on the original case (after one year of hardcore usage). I can't believe how much the minimal updates have improved a case that didn't need improving.
Great job!!!
Oh, just for reference: I am an "in and out of the pocket all day, docked at my desk or in my truck when not in my pocket, throw it across the table with the car keys at night" kind of guy who drops his phone on the ground and in the woods too much..
Pros: High quality, Durable, epic, design, function

Don't get white!

The white rubber is poor in quality. The black is better because it fits inside of the hard case and it doesn't get dirty looking. Even after cleaning the white case it still looks dirty. The top ridge on the case doesn't feel nice against the ear. It seems the black case has rubber that is more flexible and doesn't bother my ear as much.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Low quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had an otterbox for my Iphone 3gs that lasted forever. When I got the Iphone 4, I felt it was a no-brainer to once again protect my investment with an otterbox. I have had this new otterbox for about 6 months and the edges are ripping apart. I sincerely expected more out of the otterbox products.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm rather disappointed in this case. I bought the pink/white case and the white part gets very dirty from minimal use. In fact it became a grey color before the day of first receiving it had ended.
Pros: Durable
Cons: case gets dirty
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horribly rushed product

I just got my case yesterday and I have to say I'm completely unsatisfied. Do i think if it was made a bit better it would offer the right protection, yes, but the two piece insert/exterior are poorly made. I tried to get mine on my phone yesterday, which did not fit!
Cons: Low quality

My last Otterbox

Over 2 years i had a Commuter TL case on my 3GS.
I was so pleased with that case, the moment i bought a 4S i instantly checked the available Otterbox cases, and i ordered a Commuter.
The overseas international delivery is super fast. It took like 5 days, was expecting 2 weeks.
The first thing i noticed when installing the case are the port protections. They are just flaps which cover the ports. The 3GS Commuter TL had flaps which needed to be pushed into the port and protected even more.
Im just hoping the flaps will stay closed after opening/closing it alot.
The soft rubber material, inner protection, doesn't seem to be that soft anymore. Less dust catching probably which is positive.
You really have to pull/press the inside rubber around in the outershell or you will have some sharp edges.

I purchased the Commuter series in Viola. I love this case!
Otter has your iphone "covered" when it comes to protection.
Great product. One thing ladies, your make-up will rub off onto the white silicone cover! Keep that in mind before deciding on this color. It does clean off but not completely. Overall **** for this Otterbox!
