I'm carefully with my phone, but my granddaughters like to look at pictures and play games on it. They are not so careful!I bought a cheap knock-off case at a kiosk at the mall. After fighting with it for several weeks, I purchased an Otter Box online. It works great! It is not bulky and came in lots of color choices. Best of all I don't have to worry every time one of my granddaughters picks up my phone.

My 4S is going on five years old and still has everything I need in a phone. My old case, Spec, was worn down and looking shabby so I decide to upgrade to the OtterBox Commuter -- in Blue. I was always told by friends how good OtterBox products are, so I was not surprised at how great mine turned out to be. It provides maximum protection and yet still allows easy removal from my pocket. It's also very easy to hang on to while talking and texting. Overall, I would rate this product 5 out of 5 stars.

The protection has been very good, but, I've only dropped my phone a couple of times. The film for the screen is helpful, but won't stop damage if the phone is dropped on its face on something pointy or hard (like a rock).
My only real complaint has been the wrestling match of getting the hard cover to fit over the shock absorbing rubbery cover.
