purple and white Commuter Series case

I purchased this case for my white iPhone 4s based on how much my husband liked his Commuter Series. I thought the purple and white case would look nice with the white phone (and most importantly would provide good protection for my phone). Well with this color choice, the white portion of the case is the softer rubber and looked dirty within about 10 days of use. Please keep in mind that I do not wear much make-up, so this was not the cause. The case had to be removed and washed every 7 days or it looked absolutely filthy. I felt that the case was protective, but the plug covers never stayed inserted and were constantly sticking out which was annoying. This never happened with my husband's iPhone4 Commuter Series, so I do not know if there has been a design change.
I used the case for about a month and switched to a case sold via the Apple Store and have been much happier.

Cons: plug inserts do not stay in place, some color options more likely to show dirt

Low Quality

Apparently my last review was not approved... sweet.
What's wrong with the case:
- Hard shell does not fit with silicone
- Silicone has excess silicone on edges (not trimmed carefully)
- Silicone has an ugly bump from the injection mold. (not shown in any pictures on here of the case)
- I purchased the white and blue version. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COLOR. I read reviews of people whose white silicone was changing color. I thought they were crazy, or keeping their phone in a weird place. This is not the case, I keep mine in nice jeans, and the white silicone is turning yellowish... This alone makes me dislike the case.

My friend has this case in black and red for the iphone 4. He thought I bought a knock off when he saw mine. His has much higher build quality than mine. Why can't the 4s get that color...?

Otterbox Quality has gone downhill

I've had almost every Iphone Otterbox case available and loved them all, but the new Iphone 4S Commuter Case is a serious stepdown in quality. It looks like they threw out their manufacturing QA process in lieu of cheaper production costs. The plastic is noticeably thinner and of poorer quality. Also the hard plastic edges aren't finished and rough. I had to sand mine down. Overall it just feels cheap.
Cons: Low quality

I was pretty excited about getting this case in Iceberg because of the way the white silicon would look against the white iPhone. However, after a few days the white starts to show dirt very easily and looks like junk. I was worried about this but took the chance and now I regret it. In the future I will order only dark silicone.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: color quality

The outer plastic part of the case cracked within a couple weeks of having it and the rubber part (mine was yellow) gets dirty easily and is hard to clean.
Cons: Low quality

Sun yellow

I purchased the sun yellow case for my new iPhone 4S and loved it when it came in. Like most of the other posts the plastic shell is a bad fit but still protects the phone. My biggest complaint about the case it the yellow rubber piece. I had my case on my phone less than 2 weeks and the yellow is now very dirty and will not clean up. The sun yellow is now more like lime.
Cons: Low quality

Great Protection, Not Durable

This case is great for protection.
I don't drop my phone often, but when I do this case has saved it.
However, it doesn't seem durable. I've only had this case for 3 months and the siliconed part feels very loose. It pulls when I take it out my pocket which is irritating.
The two parts are also hard to align properly and I have to spend 10 minutes to get it right. I'd like to take the case off more often, but I can't because I don't always feel willing to spend so long aligning the two parts.
Overall, the colours are nice and what I expected, the protection is great, but the case is too loose too quickly and difficult to align properly.
I will be buying a new case very soon because this case is too loose.

horrible design

i had this case twice and both times the plastic at the top broke. the first time it broke when i pulled it out of my pocket. seriously i thought these cases were supposed to be indestructible and a pocket broke it?! this version of the commuter case was less compact and the rubber/silicon part and the plastic part weren't connected or kept together that well. so i was glad to see that the one they replaced my broken one with was more together and looked like it was one piece instead of two. however one morning when i woke up and picked up my phone and started doing stuff on it i realized it broke. and i have no idea how! i noticed it when it started to slip out of my hands and i felt the top wiggle. this case is not all that indestructible.
Pros: Durable, sleek
Cons: Low quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
