This is by far the best phone case one could use. I have had it save my phone uncountable times!
The soft plastic case NEVER fits! It is always too big, making it impossible for my hard plastic case to fit correctly!

The first Commuter Otter Box I purchased was pink and white. I purchased the Commuter series box because it will fit in my pocket of my purse where as the original Otter Box was too big. Within a week the "white" portion was not white. I do carry my phone in my pockets (pants, jackets, purse, ect.) but I have never had one discolor so badly so quickly. The hard plastic portion did break 8 months after I purchased it and I don't drop my phone much. I completed the warranty paperwork and was given the option of a different color due to the issues with the white not staying white. I chose the teal and I am already noticing the discoloration of the lighter green (soft) portion of the Otter Box. My son has a similar sized protection (not Otter Box) for the same style phone that is black and white. It has not broken nor discolored. For the cost of the Otter Box this one is not worth it.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, discolors quickly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best customer service experience in a long time

I couldn't be more pleased to have the help of replacing my case than the customer service given. The man was super helpful and willing to ship my case ASAP as I was heading out on vacation and really wanted my phone protected. He looked at my photos and was like your case seems black. I told him I wear a lot of dark pants and it turns it dark. He asked if I would like another case color and I was like oh my gosh that would be so awesome!!! Super great experience thanks folks. You are doing a fabulous job.

Dear Otterbox,
I had the Defender on my iPhone from day one, when I got the phone for my birthday in June 2012. Loved it, and it kept my phone VERY protected. After constant and everyday use, I decided I wanted a new cover. The rubber on the charging door, and on the on/off door had come off, and it was just time for a change. I called to purchase a new one, and the guy on the phone was so wonderful and sweet and helpful! I had no idea you had such an unbelievably great warranty! I was told I could get a brand new one, totally free!!! Who knew?! This time I went with the Commuter, with help making a decision with the guy on the phone helping me. I also LOVE this one. A bit less bulky, and I love everything about it. This has begun a lifetime relationship with Otterbox for me, all my family, and everyone I can talk to. My phone guy helping me could've just taken my order for a new one, and I would've paid whatever it was. He OFFERED the free replacement info, of which I had no knowledge what so ever! I'm so happy with you and with Otterbox!! Incidentally, when I removed my Defender to put on my Commuter, my phone itself looked completely flawless! NOT ONE scratch or ding or anything at all. The best phone covers ever! This is all I will ever use. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
