I love the slim and slickness of the Commuter but that is really it. I purchased three of these, one for me and one for each daughter. Within 2 months, the soft piece over the charger broke off. Within another month or so, some of the harder pieces broke off. Wish a better version of this same style would be made.
Pros: slim, slick backing
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The otter box is fabulous, love the color, the feel of it, the non-slip feeling of confidence in using it.
This all does not come even close to the over the top excellent customer service with your company. There must be an Otter box charm school.
Seriously, I felt bad about even calling for the replacement, and I ended up feeling like a Princess.

I had an otterbox commuter series for about a year when the rubber began to disintegrate, and the bottom flap had broken off. I was at a major retailer and had told the salesperson about this and he said to contact Otterbox regarding their warranty. I did so, sent in some photos of my box, and was issued a brand new one!! I wouldn't use another type of cover for my Iphone. Some of my friends use 'novelty' cases they purchase for very cheap, but I would never risk my phone with one of these. Simply a great product and the company stands behind it which is extremely important to me.

This product protects my phone and looks good. The only problem I had with it was when the narrow piece of hard plastic at the bottom of the case broke. This issue was quickly remedied by OtterBox when they replaced the case at no charge. The process I had to go through to get the case replaced was easy. The OtterBox website gives clear instructions for reporting a defective item and getting it replaced.

Love the Otter Box products, but with the Commuter case my only issue is durability as I have gone through 2 of them breaking in what I deem unacceptable times. Nothing over the top, but the corners and bottom piece near the charge part. Otherwise, protects from falls, the elements etc...GREAT customer service.

My son & I both have this product & have had to have it replaced since purchasing original. My replacement is fine, I'm not sure how it cracked but I believe it may have been stepped on. Anyway my son's has cracked again, its cracked in the area of where the charger is inserted (i think). I believe this is happening due to the fact he has an I Home he uses to skype & listen to music but cannot do that with the otter box on the phone. While I think the otter box is a great product, its not really made to be removed all the time. I'm not sure otter box would replace again & I have not called, wondering if they make a case where you don't have to remove it to use I Home.???
Pros: Durable, keeps phone from cracking when dropped
