First, I purchased this for my daughter because it's a minimalist case for her phone yet is great for protecting it. I takes drops and bangs with ease and still fits in her jean pockets. Couldn't ask for a better case that does not bulk up your device. We just wish the silicone came in different colors that are sold separately.

They advertise "backed by a great 12-month warranty." They lived up to that. I have had three OTTER cases over the years (for my various phones). My latest one had a small defect and was replaced at no charge. Great service!

Dropped my iPhone 4S a few times with the Otter Box Commuter case.
The last two times were pretty jarring and on hard surfaces, I was sure my screen would be cracked. But thanks to OtterBox there was no damage at all to the screen or the device's operations.

This is a good case. One time, it fell from a about 5 feet high, and the case cracked. It does protect your phone, but if you could, I would get a defender.

I used the case for my Iphone- when it cracked Otter replaced it for free and without any hassle-- the case protects my phone well - hard to connect phone to earbuds without taking my case partially off.
