This has been a great case for my iPhone. However, the only issue I have, is the when I put my phone in my Bose sound dock, I must remove the case.

The Commuter Otter Box for the iPhone 4 protects against minor drops as far as I can tell. I don't abuse my phone nor do I work at a place that is hazardous for my phone. The clear protective cover has kept my screen in perfect shape. There is only one flaw that I have found: the thin piece of plastic that sits at the front of the case on the bottom breaks VERY easily. In the past 4 months, that plastic piece has broken 3 times. The most recent case has definitely never seen a fall. This minor crack might not be a problem for some people, but after mine broke the first time, the crack caused the case to snag on my pocket, eventually ripping the whole bottom piece off.
Pros: has protected my phone so far.
Cons: design flaws
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my original Otterbox on April 1, 2013. I am now on my 3rd one but the good thing is the last 2, I did not have to purchase due to the warranty. Even though you get a free replacement if something happens to your Otterbox, I think the quality could be a little better.

I was rather dissatisfied with this product. The first problem with this phone case is that it did not protect my phone. This incident occurred about three months after I got the case, I accidentally dropped my phone when pulling it out of my pocket, a fall that couldn't have been more than four feet, and it landed on a wooden floor and the back glass was cracked. I didn't really do anything at the time because I was traveling and had other things to focus on. Then several months later the case it self starts to break, I was not to upset with this since the part that broke was the little flap that covers the charger plug in and it was very important to protect the phone, then rather quickly other parts started to deteriorate, but I still used the case, it was in terrible condition. Then almost a month ago somebody reminds me that this company has a warranty policy; so I go through all the steps in the warranty and get sent a new case. This is the part that I am most upset about, not a week after receiving the case a part of it is broken. I was rather upset because the last case lasted about six months before any kind of deterioration, and lasted about ten months before it was unusable.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, didn't protect phone
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Otterbox gives me a sense of calm; I have dropped my phone more times than I can remember and it never received so much as a scratch, with the Commuter Case on.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: white parts do no clean well.
