Once upon a time there was this Kindergarten Teacher.
She had an i phone 4 which was housed in a purple/white Otter Defender case. This magical Otter case kept the phone safe from glue, play dough, and paint. The Otter case even saved the phone from many little hands that picked it up, dropped it, and even printed on it. The i phone loved the Otter Defender Case because, it saved the phone from many unexpected events. The i phone and the Kindergarten Teacher
would highly recommend to other Friends to get an Otter Defender Case and live Happily ever after.

This is my second commuter, and with the first one i had, my phone cracked after I dropped it only about a foot to the floor. However, my phone has not been damaged in this one. I love the fact that I could get a new one completely for free after my other Otterbox was damaged. The new product came very fast and I had updates along the way, and emails from a real person, not just a computer, so I could get feedback. The case is lightweight and thin so I can fit it in my pocket, unlike the bulkier Otterboxes, and still offers solid protection.

I am a klutz and I often drop my phone in the parking lot, in the car, at the pool, in the street...My iphone has never been damaged and I can say it's only because of my sturdy case. If you have an iphone this is the only case you need.

This otter box is perfect if you are not a "rough" person. If you tend to drop your phone on occasion. This is perfect, but if you are very clumsy I would go with the defender case. Over all great product.

One thing that is not working very well with this case is the cover flap for the charging plug opening does not stay closed. It is hard to get snapped tight and then it pops open. Otherwise, I like the case.

I love the otter box because as many times as I have dropped my phone, the case really protects my phone. Not only that, I think the phone itself slips out from my hands a lot so the case helps me to have more grip when I'm using my phone. I also have a 3 year old that thinks my phone is his and with the otter box I have all the protection I need to prevent it from getting cracked or scratched. I also love the company itself because if I ever need a replacement, I can get on the website, send in my information, and my replacement will be in the mail in no time.

Protected iphone as it travelled thru snowblower!

I am very rough on my phone cuz I am a "klutz". However, I was more than impressed when my case actually protected my iPhone when I dropped it in the snow. It took a trip through the snowblower. The outer box was shredded, but the inner rubber layer was still intact when we found it, buried in the snow 4 hours later! The flap that covers the input kept the water/snow out! I was ecstatic, as I certainly was not ready to pay $$$ to replace it! I thought for sure I would have "water damage"....but I was wrong, thanks to Otterbox!
I was frustrated only that it was difficult to find a replacement in the store (apparently my iPhone 4s is already ancient:)
However, it was easy and convenient to order online, even a better price!
I will forever use the otterbox!

Our family has purchased many different OtterBox cases and have always been pleased but, this particular model is not constructed as well. The openings for devices, such as the charger, do not remain smooth when closed after a couple of uses. I have already replaced this item once and have had the same results: the device doors do not close tightly after a few uses.
