I loved my 1st Otterbox. When the bottom piece broke, I followed the directions for replacement, which sounded complicated at first, but after taking the pictures and filling out the proper form, the product was replaced quickly.
The new Otterbox, looks the same, but does not fit quite the same. The rubber piece that should cover the slot to plug the phone in, will not close completely. Little annoying to me to have it hanging open.

I have grown accustomed to the size and shape and feel of this case. And that is a problem. The previous two outer cases broke in the same way and I expect that this new one will also. Protects the phone wonderfully and does what it's supposed to do... but it won't out live the phone.

Good: I am pretty hard on my things and my first Otterbox lasted a year. After a while it got a crack from putting it on and off. I sent a picture to Otterbox and I received a replacement within the week.
Bad: This was the most sleek model I could find from Otterbox, it is still quite bulky though. It truly protects my phone. I have dropped it a bunch of times and I don't even worry about the screen breaking.

I love the look and feel of this case. It's slightly rubberized texture is great, without being "sticky" like some other cases I have used. It fits my phone like a glove and feels so nice to just hold it in my hand. I am very impressed with the quality. I feel like my phone is very safe.
One thing I'm not a big fan of: the built-in plastic screen protector. It makes the touch screen difficult to operate. A friend suggested that I pull that thing out and just buy a stick-on screen protector. I might do this. Might I note: THIS CASE IS STILL WORTH GETTING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
I LOVE how they come in different colour combinations. I just have the white inside/black outside on it right now, but think it's so cool that you can mix n match!

With all the iPhone's my family has had over the past 4 years or so we've also had a lot of Otterboxes. They continually protect and look good at the same time. Me personally, I don't like the Defender version as it's too bulky, but the Commuter is slim enough that it suits me perfectly. Strangely though I had a hard time getting the outer hard plastic to fit snugly around the rubber so I took it to a Wireless store and she was able to get it to fit the way it should. I've also already dropped it on my driveway and it was completely protected with not a scratch! Will definitely continue using Otterboxes!

After owning several other Otterbox cases for various different phones I was very unhappy with this particular case. I had only owned it for a few months and I dropped it once and it cracked and a piece of it actually broke off. I was so happy when told about the warranty. I filled out my warranty info and received another case that was already cracked and broken where the charger goes. It was right out of the box. So I did another warranty and got the one I have now. I hope it holds up. It has only been a few weeks and I haven't dropped it yet.. If I had known the commuter series was so poorly made I would have up graded to the defender.
