I bought this product to protect my phone in mind. Unfortunately, I sometimes drop my phone. The first time it cracked, after I dropped my phone, my daughter said don't worry, you can go to their web page and they will fireplace it. The case has a lifetime warranty. I was very relieved. Since that incident, unfortunately I've had to replace it a few more times: ( maybe the case could use a different design or change some of the plastic corners. I would still recommend for to the fact it can be replaced and quickly I may add.
Pros: Durable, if u don't drop it
Cons: Not durable, corners break the first

I am a klutz. I am constantly dropping things, I have had my otter box on my beloved Iphone for 3 years now and I've been brutal with it. It has chipped or cracked on 2 occasions, both times I've accidentally launched the phone from a pocket or purse in cold weather. Every time my phone has been fine and the case has taken the brunt of the attack. Everytime otterbox has replaced it. No questions asked, no hassel. All I had to do was follow the easy online instructions to send an email and pictures of the damge. I would and do recomend this product as often as I can.

I really like the design of this otterbox, it's slim and doesn't add too much size or weight to my phone (at least by my standards). It offers great protection from physical damage, and I am not worried about my phone if anything ever happens by accident. However, I've already had it replaced under warranty (which was so easy to deal with...Otterbox is a gold standard for warranty claims) once, as the rubber tabs for uncovering the headphone jack and the USB port wore away within the first couple weeks of use, and the plastic case also cracked. Now with my second otterbox of the same model, the tabs are fine, but there again is already a crack in the plastic. It's good for protection, but I'm kind of disappointed with the durability of the product.
Pros: great protection, excellent warranty service
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The otter box I purchased has been very effective in keeping my iphone from breaking or shattering. It is a convenient size, not too bulky, and fits my phone well. It also has a warranty and is easily replaced if it somehow breaks. The only con to the case is that it can get stretched out and not fit the phone prooperly if taken off too many times.

I have been a big otterbox fan for a few years now so getting to grips with any of their cases for apple products is very easy.
In our family. We have 8 Apple products in total and all of them sit inside an otterbox case. Wether it be a defender case for the iPhones or a commuter for the iPhone 5. Or the new defender for the iPad air. All are blanketed in an otter.
Why? Because otterbox cases are brilliant. From their tough rugged design right down to the option to build your own. We've never had any problems with our cases. I've even tried the Griffin survivor but it didn't last very long.
I like the way the defender fully encases the iPhone, giving it full protection from the elements . And being a carpenter, I get covered in dust and debris so not having to worry about how this affects my iPhone is important. To end, an excellent case that does what it claims to do.

Slim design, yet provides solid protection.
Easy to handle in one hand and slips easily into a pants pocket.
Thin plastic around flash could be a problem (ie, cracking), but Otterbox stood behind their product and replaced mine within a week. I wanted to stay with the same style and model.
