Was impressed how it protected my phone. Dropped my phone in a glass of water on accident and it kept my phone dry. Have also dropped it several times or had it dropped by small children and it protected it from screen cracks or phone damage.

The otter box has kept my iPhone safe for three years now. Unintentionally the phone has been dropped kicked and squished. Never has my phone been damaged. Although not waterproof it does give some measure of rain protection. When the outer rubber skin broke Otter gave me new ones within days. I'm really satisfied with their customer service.

I love my otterbox, i have bought over 5 of them and the commuter case is great, however the silicone insides tend to attract dirt and stain extremely easy. The hard shell case cracks often, and I have had to replace it at least 3 times.

I am generally pleased with the black case purchased for my 4S IPhone but the blue case on my wife's phone doesn't work well at all. Specifically, the most troublesome part is the flap used to cover the charging port does not close entirely, and we have worked every day with it. The material seems to be too unwieldy and not very manipulative. Just yesterday, my wife mentioned how displeased she was with it, and told me if this problem is specific to colored cases, she would have picked a black case. Also, we both removed our screen protectors shortly after installing them because neither one fit properly.
