Using the Otterbox commuter for my Iphone 4 makes for great protection with out too much added bulk. I like the tight fit and light weight design. Also, Otterbox warranty has the best and easiest warranty program on the market.
Pros: Durable, light weight, not bulky

I love my otterbox case. I drop my phone at least 5 times a week!!! The protection is great and it is not bulky. I appreciate that it has a grippy feel on one side and a smooth feel on the other. That way when I put it face down on a surface it won't slide off. When my case broke after having it for a long time...I went to the site and followed the directions on getting a free replacement...so easy. And within a few days I had a brand new replacement case!!! THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I would never buy anything but an otterbox.

I really like me Otter box. Goes in my pocket easily and protects my phone. only complaint is the narrow edges tear after a year. Good news is that Otter Box will replace it if your tears. Good product.

The commuter is a nice case that will protect your phone from accidental drops. That said, it's not much better than cheaper cases that will do the same thing. I like the case because the bumper area around the screen was tall enough to protect the phone from drops, but otherwise it's just not worth what you pay for it. I found something else at a mall with a better bumper area, and it fit around the phone better than the otterbox (the silicone skin was a little loose around my iPhone 4s).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
