Myself and my family have had a series of iPhones. Although they are beautiful, they do not take falls, drops and other misadventures well. My daughter chipped the corner of her first iPhone (4) within hours of receiving it. Bought an Otterbox for her, my son, me and the problems went away...until my son decided not to use his - screen shattered soon thereafter! Now he is a faithful user once again. No problems anymore!

I am an aircrew member in the USAF on C-130s. I have accidentally dropped my iPad from the cockpit a number of times. That's about a 5 foot drop onto a metal floor. Once it fell down the stairs and ended up back by the gear well while we were flying some tactical training. That's about a 5 foot drop followed by about a 20 foot or so tumble. Not a bit of damage!

Cons: could use some type of wet installation., that would allow some adjustment on the screen, screen protector.

I'm a home care nurse so most everything goes in my pockets, including my phone. There have been times when I've missed my pocket and the phone ends up on the floor, sometimes a concrete floor or tile! I hold my breath every time I pick it up and am always amazed that my phone remains unscathed due to the superior protective qualities of the Otter Box!
Finally, after taking too many hits, my original Otter Box gave up the ghost. I was told to contact the company via their website, took a few pictures of my damaged case and before I knew it I had a new one, free of charge because of the warranty.
Thank you Otter Box, you've saved my iPhone more than once!!!

After using my OB for 10 months on my iPhone 4, never having dropped it on a hard surface or subjecting it to damage in any way, the bottom portion of the hard case broke away. I was pleased with the no-hassle replacement policy of the otters @OB, for my unit was replaced forthrightly and exactly. However, I wonder, if down the road, the SAME issue will re-occur, seeing the design is the same...
Perhaps the tech otters are working on some improvement in the overall hard case material and / or design? Just a thought....

Went from Defender to Commuter because of size, bulk. Good protection, fits better in my purse. Got my case in July 2013 & am on my 3rd replacement already! Case cracks, but protects phone, which is what you want. Through a really easy return process, Otter box sends out new one! As long as they keep doing that, I'll keep it! Best protection for my iPhone! I get a new case every 3 months!!

I LLOOVVEE my otter box!! There is almost NOTHING I would change about it! The only things I would change would be the opening to where your headphones should go. All I would change about this would be to possibly make it a little easier for the big, clunkcy headphone cords to fit all the way in. I am a dancer and the speaker plug is larger than most but is still smallish. However it seems to be too large for me to be able to plug it in completly. Because of this I find myself constantly taking off my otter box which is how my first one boke. But please don't miss read this, I lover my otter box and I will probably never put my phone in any case other than the otter box. Thank you guys for making a protective and affordable case!!! :)
