The machine is small but mighty. It does break foods down nicely, sometime too much, but I'll eventually figure out the pulsing and direction. It is not a quiet little thing. I am surprised at how loud it is.

Purchased this mainly for salad dressings and lending small quantities for sauces. Works great for that. Chopping is fine (ie onion or bell pepper) if you have smaller uniform pieces to start with.
