Had to use this for small pieces of hard cat food that had to be smaller for elderly cat to eat. Worked fantastically. For me, Cuisinart is the best of everything, in all appliances.

Purchased it mainly to purée and emulsify as older version could not accommodate liquid and would only chop and grind dry substances. It puréed well and is good for small volumes. Tried chopping pecans and the result was a mixture of powder and large chunks. Had more consistent result using a chefs knife.
