I bought this a couple months ago to work along side of my old DLC8 processor. I love hummus and started doing everything from scratch. Start with dry garbanzos and raw sesame seeds. Specifically, I use this small one for making tahini sauce. The combination blade that cuts and grinds works perfectly, especially when I can slowly drip oil right from the lid. It is great for chopping things like sun dried tomatoes to add into the hummus.
Big jobs call for the big processor. Small supporting roles do not work as well in the big machine, so this Mini-Prep really shines for processing small batches.
I have had my DLC8 for 30 years, only having to replace the work bowl and lid. I hope to be using this a very long time.

Having watched TV cooking shows and how the salads look I decided that my food processor could not do the job. They said the blade was sharp and it certainly was I just touch it and it gave me a mark on my finger.
So I have made several salads cuts with it and was very happy with the results. I liked the grind knife better along with the chop combination which gives the cut that one is looking for.
Thank you

I bought this because I had so much dental work that I needed to chop everything and blend it. I used to have one, but gave it away when I moved. It is a very helpful tool.

This processor may be little, but it is one of the most powerful little machines I've ever had the pleasure of owning! It is amazing! It's powerful and really easy to clean! I love it! The only downside that I've found, so far, is that it doesn't dice tomatoes very well. The tomatoes end up soupy, but that's great if you're going to use them in a sauce or soup. I definitely recommend this little processor! It makes food preparation a whiz!

I love this processor so much! I have had the big Cuisinart processor for years. I keep it in a cupboard and it is really heavy to lift in and out to the point that I sometimes avoid processing. This has been perfect. I use it several times a day and only go to the large one for a big project. Chops onions, fresh herbs, just about anything. Small enough to leave out and have at my fingertips. So far, I have no negatives.

This is a modern day version of the mini Cuisinart processor I already own. I have used it several times since purchasing and love the size of the unit. Although it does a great job I don't love how difficult it is to set everything in place. The bowl needs to be clicked in before you can place the blade and then the top but everything does not settle into the groves easily. My older version did not seem to be this difficult. Also while washing the blade, I was having trouble getting it clean and I accidentally sliced my thumb - the blade is incredibly sharp - just be careful. Next time - it's just going in the dishwasher - no pre-wash!

Efficient, smaller than I thought but the size works well for my family. I made some frozen fruit sorbets in it- awesome. I tried grinding some chia seeds in it but that was a no go. Still, I find myself using it everyday.
