I have a huge Cuisinart food processor (fp) that's over 40 years old. It is cumbersome, thus I was looking for something smaller, specifically to shred cheese. I saw this item and, after reading the instructions, gave it a whirl. In order to do so, I had to slice the cheese into smaller pieces, insert them into this processor, and pulse until it seemed to be to my liking. The fp worked well and came with a scooper to clean off most of what stuck to the sides. I wish that it had a cover or a container, I stored mine in a box for now.

It does a great job and I'm making more salad dressings and pestos because it is so easy! The only downside is the very loud and screechy sound it makes but I think it's worth it!
