We ordered a new Cuisinart 3 cup food processor to replace our previous 12 year old one. The old motor ran flawlessly, however, the plastic piece that holds the food to be processed, broke on the lip, preventing it from locking in place. Since the old model is no longer available, a new one was required. I must admit, the original one was much sturdier and exudes more quality than its replacement. I love this food processor. I love to make hummus and this makes it a breeze. I had a ninja but the blades didnt reach the edges or the bottom i had to stir it and make a lot for it to work. The first time i made hummus in this mini prep it took like 3 min to make the hummus the way i like. The only drawback is that you have to hold the button down. However, since the blades are so powerfull you hust hold it down a few times and its done. And its a perfect serving size !
