I bought this about month ago mainly for chopping and pureeing vegetables for diabetic dog food.. It's pretty good, large capacity. The grater and slicing plates do not work well with carrots I end up with pieces of carrots stuck on the top of the plates and have to repeat the process several times and even then they don't work.. Would not recommend for carrots.

my wife and I purchased our new food processor just over a month ago. This thing is amazing. We love how you can adjust the thickness of the slicing blade. It operates so quietly and does not strain to chop up anything. We freeze dry,can and preserve food so it gets used often. We are considering buying a second bowl and lid just so we can keep going without stopping to rinse the bowl. We also love the many accessories like the bowl reducer and the chute reducer for smaller loads as well as the blade holding case. This was a great purchase.

I bought this food processor against my better judgment. I was planning to buy the “basic” 14-cup processor but decided to give this one a try. I’m so glad I did. Its versatility and extra features suit my needs well. I love the storage case and the ability to select different size shreds and slices without needing to buy and store additional discs. It’s also beautiful on my counter.

Versatile, powerful, efficient, quiet, and easy to clean. So happy with our purchase. Love that the slicing disk comes with adjustable thickness, the double sided grater, the small work bowl, and the feature that keeps the blade from coming out when pouring the work bowl. However, we are disappointed that this "elite" model doesn't come with or offer the attachment for dicing and miss the option for the slow-pour hole in the smallest feeder tube that allows for even distribution/addition of liquids such as oil. One would expect an elite model to have or be compatible with all the bells and whistles offered with/for more affordable models.

We got our first Cuisinart 40+ years ago as a wedding present. This is our third. We replaced the previous 2 when critical parts broke. In each case it was an improvement. This new (giant) model has better features than our 20-year old one that worked great until the plastic spindle cracked. We figure 20 years is good proof of quality. We have other kitchen gadgets, but there are a couple of tasks for which a "food processor" is simply the only thing that will do. This new one is powerful, effective and has a couple of upgrades over our last. We went for the giant size because we sometimes needed to run batches in our smaller one. All functions we've tried work fine in the big version. We still make smoothies in a blender, but it's intolerably loud compared to the Cuisinart. Quiet is a virtue! The new adjustable slicing thickness is a great idea. The gasket at the top makes it more pleasant to work with hot, wet materials. The feeder tube is improved. Having an extra small bowl is also clever; extending the central spindle is a great idea, if it proves durable. And the "no-leak" feature is really smart. Previously, pouring liquids out of the bowl meant dexterously catching the blade as it dropped into your soup. We are looking forward to trying the slow-dough kneading speed. The dough blade in our previous never really worked for us. The only real issue is that you need a serious amount of storage space for the enormous, heavy base, the giant bowl(s) and the huge attachment box. If you've never become dependent on a food processor, don't start with this one -- go for the standard size and let it grow on you. But we can vouch for the Cuisinart brand in terms of overall fitness for purpose and durability. It won't replace our mixer or the cursed blender for some things, but we will probably use this a few times a month for the next 20 years.

This is such a great mixer. We have used it like crazy. The only complaint I have is the black part of the lid melted in the dishwasher. It’s the part that holds the housing unit in it that helps the lid click into place. Thankfully, it’s not bad enough to keep it from locking into the main bowl but it still is upsetting.

We The very first time that we used this food processor, the blade got stuck and wouldn’t come off. After trying a lot of on line solutions, we found that ice water worked. The other solution was to put the entire appliance in the freezer overnight. It was frustrating to learn that this is a common issue. Other than that, the processor works well and is of good quality.
