I mostly love my food processor-- it's easy to use and clean, and very efficient-- except for grating/slicing. When you feed the vegetables into the food processor from the top, a pretty thick section can get stuck between the blade and the top, and doesn't get forced through the blade. As far as I know this happens with food processors, but the gap is larger with this one than with past food processors I've had.

This food processor shuts off after being ran for awhile. There is no way to turn it back on until it cools down. I got a higher wattage motor for it to run longer and it doesn’t run as long as my Custom 14. The base gets extremely hot so you need to be very cautious. The lock mechanism for the blade does not work on mine. It worked the first time I used it and it hasn’t worked since. I read the entire handbook and am doing as it says to engage the lock and it is not working. I do not like this product. I would recommend the Custom 14 14 cup food processor before this one, even with the less wattage.

We got this to replace a 25 year old Cuisinart food processor that was still going strong. I love everything about it, the quiet and powerful motor, the size of the 14 cup containes, the blades, everything, but I do not like the fact that fairly large chunks of food get caught between the shredding blade and the top. Additionally, fairly large pieces of food don't get shred and end up mixed in with the rest of the shredded vegetable. That really happened with my old Cuisinart.

I bought my Elite Collection Food processor about 9 months ago, and I am in love with it! I can't believe the power it has! I make a lot of nut-based gluten free energy bars and cookies, and it processes everything without effort. I am used to my previous machines making noises and the motor emitting burning smells when I tried to grind nuts. Not this one! It is really amazing, and I love it! I actually kissed it a few times :)

We brought the 14 cup CuisinartNovember of 18, not real happy with processor when doing sweet potatoes or squash they slip between the top and blade it shuts down motor. The kitchen aid 14 cup is the same way. Going back to 7 cup Cuisinart was a much better design

I wish it were lighter and took up less space, but it does work very well and solves a lot of problems with the older models. It’s fast. The additional smaller bowl is great for smaller volumes. The double sided shredder is ingenious- flip to the size shredder rather than having 2 disks. The rounded bowl is easier to get out all the stuff with a spatula. The silicon gasket prevents liquids from leaking.all the parts are dishwasher safe... but there are a lot of parts that take up a lot of real-estate in the dishwasher. The container for the blades is nice, but again, takes up a lot of space.

This newer version replaced my former 14 cup Cuisinart that came with a 14 and 10 cup bowl. The 10 cup fit inside the 14 cup and was very difficult to remove. Looks like Cuisinart eliminated that problem by eliminating the 10 cup bowl altogether. Brilliant! New version has more plastic parts, is quieter than previous and works well. I love it!

We bought this based on its great reviews. While it is generally good for most things we find it ineffective and disappointing when we use the blade that grates. My husband uses this a lot to shred carrots for carrot cake. Large carrot pieces tend to slip under the blade and end up in the bowl. There is a slight gap btwn the blade and lid/bowl which I believe is a design flaw. We had another food processor for decades that was amazing but the bowl finally broke and cannot be purchased anymore.
