I am a huge fan of cusinart kitchen helpers. It was disappointing to discard my vintage cusinart with all of the blades. They no longer had the parts for the professional from the late 80s. I was forced to move to the 21st century and love, love, love my Elite. I highly recommend it.

My husband gave me a Cuisinart DLC7 40 years ago and it is still working. , but whenever I broke a part on the bowl the parts became very hard to find. I researched and found this Cuisinart and am very pleased with it. The weight is comparable to the one my husband bought for me so many years ago. I had many blades with my other old one, but mainly only used the slicing or grateing disks. With this one only has two disk , but the grating disk had adjustable sizes in it, so that is good. I don’t have to store so many disks. This one also has a retractable cord, which I love. So far I am very very pleased with my purchase. They say the parts are dishwasher safe, but I plan on washing mine by hand. I’m wondering if the hot water may eventually break down the plastic bowl. Just being on the safe side.

Great heavy duty machine but shredding parm was not to my liking. Machine bucked with the rind of the cheese & the grind not good with the blade used. I’ve used a Kitchen Aid for over 20 years & cheese grind blade fine. The Cuisinart was not good. All that aside, it’s a power horse, I’ll simply use my Mulinex for cheese.
