Normally the quality of the product from HP is excellent. In this instance they failed. The cartridge developed a leak while I was installing it in my printer and I had to dispose of it. I pad for a product that was not useable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi,
I regret that you had this happen to you. You must carefully unwrap this type of cartridge. While leaking is more common with refills, it can also happen with a damaged or defective cartridge.
A vent near the cartridge label will normally be opened when the tab is pulled completely loose, and the outer plastic covering is removed from around the cartridge. It is important that the vent is open to prevent the cartridge from leaking, particularly when you twist off the orange tab prior to installing the cartridge.
On defective and remanufactured cartridges, you might have to clear the vent with a straight pin to keep it from leaking.
This cartridge printed about 8 sheets of paper, then gray, then nothing. I cleaned the heads etc. nothing and no way to get money back.

Hello,
We appreciate the feedback that the XL cartridge did not last longer than the regular cartridge. Each cartridge varies in output, depending on your activity. The numbers in our advertisements are an average. You are welcome to continue using the regular cartridges if you prefer. We will consider the feedback and work to improve the product further.
Ink is all dried up and does not function after multiple attempts.

Hi Joseph,
Trying to get a cartridge to work is hard work. I'm sorry you had to put in the effort, and it didn't resolve the issue. I think a refund would be best in this situation.
Navigate to www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/ReturnsandExchanges?id=page-return-exchange-policy/ to see the policy and start the online process. To avoid dry cartridges in the future, clean the printhead after each print.
