I can no lonager use this product because the printer it was intended for is no longer working. I had to buy a new HP printer and these cartridges are not compatible. So now I am stuck with 6 unusable unopened cartridges.
HP auto-updates for printer firmware prohibited our continued use of third party, affordable cartridges. We were forced to purchase HP cartridges for a Officejet 6000 series printer to use the device. I will say this. I will not be purchasing anymore HP printers until HP updates their current firmware and allows customers to shop for reasonably priced cartridges. Their Smartink program is a step in the right direction but is still expensive and locks the user in to a proscribed number of copies per month per printer. There are other printer alternatives out there and we plan to pursue them
for 3 years I have enjoyed my hip office jet printer. The best printer I have owned. Ordering ink supplies was quick and arrived on time in the mail. Then 1,2,3, the ink cartridge was in such easy installation. I'm going to see the printer to print photos from my phone. I will need to buy ink & paper for printing photos. Thank you
This is a new product for me. I had been buying the XL size of the 902 cartridge (902XL) for their extra capacity. I have only recently installed the 906XL snd cannot confirm the capacity, but it is supposed to be a significant increase over the 902Xl at not much higher price.
Disappointing, cost and it does not print the advertised number of pages
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Robert,
I am sorry that you were disappointed by the cartridge. The estimates of page count are based on industry standards. How the cartridge will perform in your printer will vary according to usage.
Ink usage of the cartridge will determine how long it lasts (unless it was damaged or defective). High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the air is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage: - Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out your ink. - Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying. - Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page. Check out the details at: instantink.com
When it appears that poor page yield was due to a defect, please return it. The return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
