[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cartridges are full of colored stuff that is supposed to get smooshed into paper in a configuration of my choosing. It totally does that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since purchasing a HP Pavilion All-In-One computer, and their HP Officejet Pro 6978 Printer, I have used HP's 902XL Black Original Ink Cartridge. It provided for nearly 800 copies, which was highly efficient. Then, when replacing the ink cartridge, I found that HP was offering their 906XL High Yield cartridge, designed to print upwards of 1,500 copies. The 906XL has proven to be an excellent and reliable product, in addition to lowering the cost per copy, all the while printing uniform pages.
I also liked the convenience of ordering a replacement cartridge on-line, directly from HP, knowing their ink cartridge's contain a quality ink product.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
I am sorry that you received a cartridge that did not last as long as you expected it to. The estimates of pages printed are based on industry standards. How the cartridge will perform in real life situations will vary quite a bit.
Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage: - You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink. - Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying. - Instant Ink might be worth trying. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com
When it seems that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact us about that: hp.com/contactHP
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always used HP products and been happy with them. I love that you can go online for ink, select next day shipping and it’s FREE...... and it arrives the next day as promised in perfect shape. Even an envelope to return the used ones. Couldn’t be easier and priced the same, if not less, than my local stores.
