This is a useful pot for this type of Braun coffeemaker. It would get 5 stars except for its durability. I have broken 2 of these pots over a 5-year period without abuse. I bought 2 replacement pots just to have a back-up.

This carafe is unique to these coffee makers, so others don’t fit. The glass it is made from is extremely fragile and breaks very easily. Given the thinness of the glass, the replacement pots are exorbitantly priced. I really like the coffee maker, though their lifespan is not long. I’m on my third one.

Other than the price, it's great you can get a replacement. The glass is very thin, so it breaks easily. But the machine itself is very good and so I guess it's worth it to replace the carafe a few times rather than buy a new machine with a better carafe.

Ordered as an extra; the fourth extra we have ordered. Barely have to sit down on counter top to break. After this we will have to replace whole pot. Getting too expensive. But we love the pot and the coffee it makes!
