I only give this product 4 stars due to it's fragile nature. The glass carafe doesn't respond well to granite countertops! Other than that, a great product.

Fits like the old carafe, but it feels lighter and the glass is thinner, judging by the weight and feel of the carafe. I am afraid to place it on my granite countertop and crack it. I bought a replacement immediately after reading the reviews. It's sad Braun doesn't produce in Germany anymore, because quality seems to be affected.
