I purchased one of these to clean my pellet stove. It's ability to pick up debris is marginal. I purchase it so I could vacuum the stove after use and found that my regular shop vac did a superior job. I would not purchase this item again

Just used the Ash Vac to clean out a pellet grill and a chimenea. It worked just as advertised. NO dust and very quiet. At first was a little concerned about the suction power but as I got used to it, it worked perfectly. Sure beat trying to shovel out the chimenea ash by hand.

I purchased this SNOWJOE Ash Vacuum to clean out my pellet stove, which burns sawdust pellets and leaves behind a small amount of ash and burned pellet ash in the burn pot. It has been super handy. The unit is small enough I leave out and next to my pellet stove, so it's ready to go each time I need it. It works efficiently and does a good job sucking everything out. I have found the unit to be well made. I purchased the unit based on price and the reviews from other pellet stove owner/users. The size of the aluminum attachment is big and doesn't get into small areas well, but I turn it to angle it the best I can and use a clean paint brush to brush those areas while leaving vacuum on to suck up dust that flies while doing this. I would like it to have come with two more attachments, one being a smaller nozzle for small areas and the other being a brush style attachment like regular vacuums have to vacuum the sides of the pellet stove. But overall, this is a great product and I am very pleased with it!

I have used this vac to clean out my pellet stove on a weekly basis now - so about 5 usages to date. It has worked w/o any problem - no overheating, failure to suck up the ash preset in the stove, or any other problem. I am quite pleased with this product so far.

The vacuum works great for ash. The vacuum pull is lighter than say a shop vac. to keep it from pulling fly ash through both cleanable filters. Could use a tapered tube to get into tighter areas and increase the velocity at the tip. All in all it works great.

Do not buy a Snow Joe product, they do not have the replacement parts. I will never buy another snow joe product.
