Every site I checked or review I read ,almost everyone was happy with this washer.My only gripe is the soap pods we use have to go in the tub on the clothes,instead of in the detergent dispencer. Being level is so important for these front load washers a good idea would be a small level incorporated in the top. One month in and so far we are very pleased.

Leaked and flooded room right after installation

This washer was professionally delivered and installed. Upon a few minutes into the first run, water came gushing out from under the washer and flooded the floor, causing baseboard and cabinet damage that we have to deal with (and file claims for...requires time and effort that we don't have). There is still moisture after using a shopvac, dryers - there could be more damage to our home than we can see. Luckily the installers were still there and saw the malfunction and defective washer, and could take it back. We were asked whether we wanted a replacement, and we agreed, but in retrospect we should get a different machine from a different manufacturer. We have other LG products in our home, but the quality control on this item needs work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My new washer is so much quieter when it is spinning and my towels get so much more water out of them that my drying time is cut in half. I have not used all the features yet but the cycles I have used have left my clothes where I feel they are both clean and in good condition.
