Design flaws
on July 5, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Annoying design flaws in the way that water is retained along the rubber rim of the door opening which means after each wash, one needs to dry by hand the inside of the washer and also the 'window' area. Already it smells badly after only using it twice. Also, the drawer for detergent-- this retains lots of water that DOES NOT GO AWAY and there is no way to remove it without meticulously forcing paper towels in the cubbys.. THIS WILL BE A PROBLEM THE WHOLE LIFE OF THIS UNIT. Never again will I purchase an LG!

Nice Idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this item for over a year. The APP required to diagnose issues and the also to download other cycles is NOT AVAILABLE IN THE US! I have checked multiple times over the year plus I have owned it. DO NOT BUY THIS unless you want a machine with diagnostics you cannot access, and are happy for everything to run 45 minutes or MORE to wash.
Pros: Quality

Worse appliance I have ever purchased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Steam function has never really worked. Tried to fix with warranty. Still having problems. Have accepted the issue because a half broken dryer is better than no dryer. We were without a dryer for 2+ months while repairs were dragged out trying to fix it.
Pros: easy to use

Worst machine I ever had

Cycles way too long can’t make it shorter, it rips the clothes, it also has a bad mold smell after 2 months of use the rubber got a black hole from the mold (see image attached) which effects the chemicals that wash the clothes, also can’t use high efficiency wash powder it clogged the drain only liquid, when I called customer service some nasty guy telling me it’s my fault etc. I’m sick and tired of it and regret every dollar I paid for this garbage,

Great features except that it's NOT stackable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It says it's stackable, but it's NOT. When you stack the dryer on top of it, which I did, the detergent dispenser is no longer accessible. Makes me sick, because there's nothing I can do now but use the HE detergent pods. It cost a fortune to get the dryer installed on top of it, and there's nothing I can do now. Yep, I'm just sick about it.
Pros: Performance, Quality

Absolutely impossible to use "Tag On" with iPhone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have spent 3 hours trying to do very simple pairing to use "tag on" feature. SmartthinQ is separate entity that does not allow registration of this product. There is no flow, no intuitively and no ease of use to the site, app or machine. I do not see the point of putting a shabby add-on feature if it is just going to cause frustration and hurt the brand. It's probably a good washer but as far as a smart product? No way.

Does not clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worst clothes washer I have ever owned or used. If your clothes actually get dirty, do not buy this. I have to wash things 2-3 times on the highest setting with the "Water Plus" feature on the highest setting.
As long as you sit in an office behind a desk, do not have children, pets, play outside, go to the gym and actually sweat, it would do an adequare job of cleaning clothes.

Great Washer, but the door sucks
on July 2, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cleans GREAT! But it is not set up for a 'washer on the right and dryer on the left' configuration that is standard in most American homes. So moving it from the washer to the dryer is NOT convenient.
