Bearings Failed after 2 Years

The bearings failed after just over 2 years of using this washing machine. It has been a nightmare trying to get LG to recognize that this is an unacceptable level of quality from a washing machine. After over a month of dealing with LG, we're still dealing with them, and it is getting louder and louder after every use. Is it too much to ask for a washing machine to work for at least 5 years? I was expecting 10 or so. 2 is completely unacceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our bearings are also shot at 2 yrs!!!

Our washer started to vibrate violently a couple of weeks ago at 2 years and 2 months into ownership. Our repairman confirmed the bearings are shot, which repair cost totals the machine. Called LG who claims bearings aren’t covered by the warranty on the drum and motor. I’m interested to see at least one other poster with this same experience. 2 years is an unacceptable life for a washer, especially from a company like LG! I will also be pursuing this further with the company!

Red beautiful Washer

Love the Upgrades!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an odd laundry room where this is the only size front loader that can fit, so we don't have many choices. We bought LG for the fit, but we think it is a terrific machine! Our previous LG washer was the 10 years old earlier version of this same model and was still going strong. I donated it to a Youth Center and got this new model. I love it! The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that it seems to go out of balance very frequently although it is absolutely level and I don't over-stuff the washer. If that gets resolved, it will definitely rank a 5 in my book! One of the upgrades I really appreciate is that you can now leave the door ajar to help dry out the unit.. before, you had to either have the door open completely, or closed.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use

The loudest washer ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had a machine that makes this much noise. My baby can not even nap when this machine is on. It is so loud I can hear it and even feel it on the first floor (our laundry is on 2nd floor). It shakes up the whole house and literally makes the loudest thumping noise especially when its on turbo wash.
At first we thought that there was a defect in the washer. We requested a replacement only to find out that the replacement is making even more noise than our previous one. I honestly think that the problem is in the way this machine sits on the pedestal. We tried everything from leveling to tightening the screws, but nothing works. The worst design with a pedestal I've ever owned.

Water too low clothes not clean

I bought this washer very recently. The water level even with extra water feature is so low the clothes are barely wet and not clean.
