I purchased this coffee pot after my Kuerig gave out on me. I've had it two months and it doesn't work now. The power light comes on, the clock display works, but water will not move through the machine and the plate doesn't get hot either. And from the looks of other reviews, I'm not the only one that has had this same problem. I wish I had the box and receipt because I would return for a decent coffee maker that actually MAKES COFFEE!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was great until it just stopped working

I bought this coffee maker in August 2015 and it had been working great, until two days ago when it stopped working completely. Similar to other reviews, the power button works, the clock works, the water is just sitting in the carafe. Super frustrating.

Obvious design flaw

I had never bought a black and decker appliance and probably won't in the future. Same issue as everyone else described, just stopped heating one day. Seems to me that is an indication of a larger design issue. Had the coffee pot 5 months but only used it a couple times a week.

Good coffee maker until it just stopped working

Great machine doing everything it was supposed to, for several months was reliable in having my morning cup ready in time for my early morning commute. Then one morning, it just didn't brew anymore. Clock worked, programming was set but it sat idle and unchanged when the start timed kicked on. No heat, no noise, nothing but the clock on. At six months old it's totally kaput at brewing. Sounds like a common problem - how are people fixing this?

Clock function failing

We bought this 6 months ago. We actually like the coffee brewing and have had no problem with that. However, in the past 3 weeks, the clock started randomly blinking on and off rapidly, making a loud clicking, and losing time. We followed all the troubleshooting in the manual, and still it continues. At this point it seems like there is some electrical problem with it, which is concerning (fire hazard?). Pretty disappointed.

good for the money...

I haven't had any problems with mine...I really enjoy the coffee I make with it! It's almost 9 months old. Did I get lucky? Did someone get a lemon? I don't know the answer to that but I would recommend it.
