This product has the worst carafe.

The carafe on this coffee pot is the worst I have ever had. It pours coffee all over the counter. I have tried ever angle to try and keep it from leaking. NO LUCK. It makes good coffee and the program works fine. Hope you have redesigned the carafe.

Fantastic Coffeemaker

This is by far the best coffeemaker I have ever owned. The water resevoir is eaay to fill. The coffee ground basket is mesh so there is no possibility of grounds escaping. It is easy to clean. It is certainly the best buy for the money as it is inexpensive. I am going to buy a second one as a backup for when this one is being cleaned. I especially like the fact that it tells when it is time to clean and has a clean cycle so there is no guesswork about how long it needs to sit. The only improvement that could possibility be made is the indicator lights could be larger. (Auto light, PM light.)
I would recommend this to a friend!

It leaks water from the bottom

I loved this coffee pot for it's reasonable price and simplistic design but after only a month and a half it started leaking water form the bottom. Then the display started to flicker as if there was a short. Another quirk I found to be an annoyance is the spring in the filter basket, that enables you to pull out the carafe while it's brewing. If you remove the basket to clean it and you don't replace it correctly, the coffee filter will overflow and you'll have coffee and grounds all over the place. Great concept.. not such a great design. I've had other Black & Decker products and they've worked fine but this specific coffee pot is at the bottom of the list for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thinking B&D might make a better product then Mr. Coffee, I bought the 12-cup programable unit and it hasn't been that long until it one day began clicking itself on & off, on & off, when I heard that noise and discovered it was the coffe pot, I found the pot Hot. I could not get it to stop turning itself on even after unplugging it for a few minutes and re-setting the clock and delay. I kept it unplugged because I don't trust it. I tried iit this morning to see if I could get it to work and water leaked all out through the bottom of the unit... IT's DONE.... OF Course I threw the box away (I have a small place without adequate storage space to keep mountains of boxes just for this purpose) and I didn't keep the receipt, figuring in a couple years I would splurge for a new one ( Ha! ). So I'm out the money and have no coffe pot now. DO THEY MAKE ANYTHING THAT LASTS EVEN FOR JUST A FEW YEARS????? Miss De-caffinated

I thought it was me maybe because every time a poured a cup of coffee, it leaked all over the counter. Every time I'd pour water in to make coffee, it would pour all over the counter. Come to find out through other online reviews...it's a piece of junk.

This coffeemaker works fine but is very noisy. It is very difficult to pour the coffee as it seems to spill all over for some reason. The pouring spout could use a redesign!

I recently bought the coffee pot, model DLX1050W.
I bought it. I like it at first.
Except for one thing..........every time I use it I can't avoid a big mess everywhere due to the design of the pot.
These spills have happened every single time I use the pot.
Every time I fill the pot with water to pour into the reservoir, a good portion of it spills onto my counter.
Every time I attempt to pour coffee into my cup, a good portion of it spills onto my counter.
Also, when I lift the lid to the reservoir, all sorts of condensed water on the lid pours off of it down the back of the pot down to the electrical connection, causing a water pool behind the pot that then, also needs to be mopped up. The reason is simple. The designer put the hinge on the outside instead of the inside forcing the lid to open outside the reservoir and the water to leak everywhere. This is a potential electrical hazard and all they had to do was make the hinge an inny, not an outy. Not real hard and a simple test of the prototype would have prevented this mistake.
Anyway, I hate all this cleaning up after doing something as basic and repetitive as simply pouring....from a brand new pot...?? I am very disappointed in this product.

The coffee pot dribbles.

The product works and makes good coffee. The coffee dribbles down the carafe and constantly wiping up the water or coffee that is spilled. Not sure if it is by design or if I got a defective one.
