Very poor design

Where do I begin? The cup markings on the side of the pot are too far forward to read while you are filling it with water. The function buttons have been placed so close together that pushing the correct one is a hit and miss proposition. And, finally, the pour spout works like one of those old, trick dribble glasses - it is impossible to fill your cup without messing up the counter. Definitely not up to B & D standards.

Cannot see how much water you have put in it

It is dreadfully designed. The water level cannot be read against the black background and often too much or too little water is poured in. I have purchased other coffee makers over the years and never, ever encountered such a problem.

At first I loved my coffeemaker but then came this morning. I turned it on as usual to let it brew while I showered. After getting dressed I went to make my thermos full of coffee and noticed coffee on the floor. At first I thought I did not set the pot correcctly but found out I did and there was a crack at the bottom of the pot. I then noticed that while cleaning up the mess, the coffemaker turned back on by itself. I turned it off again and low and behold the darn thing came on again. Now my guess is the coffeemaker actually overheated because for the life of me I cannot understand how the pot got cracked. I washed it the day before and there was no crack at that time. Not only was there coffee on the floor but in my microwave as well as in the microwave door. Thus, no I would not recommend this model to anyone. I make a thermos full of coffe Monday-Friday and now have to buy figure out what I am going to do now because I cannot afford to purchase another coffeemaker seven months after purchasing this one.

Inexpensive and I bought it a couple of years ago... it's still cranking out good coffee! I love the programmable feature too. No complaints here.

Product does not work after 4 months

Coffee quit working after 4 months. No heat from heating element. I have never heard of a coffee maker that only lasted for 4 months. Replacement will not be the same and will only have a 1 year guarantee. Save your money and buy a better coffeemaker. All coffeemaker products make by Black & Decker seem to be designed in same manner. Not a quality appliance.

problem with the carafe

No matter how I attempt to pour coffee from the carafe, it will leak from the spout. I have resorted to pouring coffee from the carafe to the cup holding both over the sink!

Product brews fine, but carafe leaks when pouring

I looked forward to this new coffee maker which brews fairly quickly but was disappointed the design or a failure with my pot makes it leak all over when pouring. Also when it nears end of brewing it makes so much noise it could wake up a whole house! Tried sealing the lid with super glue but it still leaks.

Does Not Work!

Followed instructions; Took almost 45 minutes to pump 8 cups of water, the rest of the water steamed off and I had to wipe down my cabinets. I finally had to finish off with a measuring cup and manually pour through the basket. I am returning this product to the retailer today. Very disappointed in the product and will purchase a competitors model today.
