STILL my most favorite grill!

I bought this grill 4 years ago when I bought my new house. I have used it steadily since. I'm so impressed with this grill. I've been gone for 2 years on an assignment in NYC and haven't used the grill more than 4 times since I was traveling back and forth. In fact, while thinking about grilling while up in NYC, I decided when I came back home I would go strictly charcoal and retire my Char-broil. She was in rough shape and dirty from being outside in SW Fla even though she was under cover. Well, I dragged out my Weber and started the fire and the food was, of course, terrific but truth be told, I didn't find much of a difference in taste quality going strictly charcoal. Also, my laziness due to long hours of grueling work started to shine through. I really didn't feel like firing a charcoal grill while being exhausted so, I took the time, dragged out my cleaning gear and bought my Char-broil back to life! The first time I cooked on it after resurrection I was, like, WHOA...this grill is the absolute BOMB!!!! So easy to sear and maintain temperature...I'm putting my Weber away for camping and keeping this baby in top form!!! You guys did very very well with the design of this grill. Sure, the metal parts are rusting and falling apart but that does not affect it's function and I'll replace those shortly. I've cooked some fantastic food on this Char-Broil and I've just gotten (re) started! Thanks for an impressive product!!!!

Cooks Fast, Saves Gas

When I bought this in 2016 I had never used an infrared grill, but chose this Char-Broil model on the advice of a Chef friend. I could not be happier with my choice. The Char-Broil heats quickly, cooks food fast, uses less propane, yet gives meats and vegetables that "over the grill" flavor (and authentic grill marks) which keeps my family and guests happy. Compared to the old "traditional" open-burner gas grill which this replaced, I can start the grill to preheat; prepare steaks, burners, etc.; grill them; and have them on the table in less time than simply preheating the old grill. Afterwards, the Char-Broil cleans up quickly and easily.
I've recommended Char-Broil Tru-Infrared grills to guests, to co-workers, to friends, and to anyone else who'll listen, and every one who's taken my advice has come back to thank me. This is a revolution in outdoor cooking.

Not like the former models

I actually returned this model and opted to repair my older grill. This does not have the firebox trough which was the best feature on the former model. It controlled flares, made adding smoke easy, and was easy to clean. Please bring this style back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cooks without flair ups

I've had this grill for 6 years, it still works like new. Heavy cooking grates, and infrared feature gets the grill up over 600 degrees and cooks Rib Eyes with out grease flair ups in a hurry

No Flame Up!!

Bought reluctantly (longtime charcoal guy/conventional "flame" cooker) after typical gas grill wore out I bought the Tru Infrared. Wow,...first cook was beer can chicken. Basically unattended until done. This thing cooks evenly, properly, quickly. I quit going out for baby back ribs, pork tenderloin filet mignon, salmon, "no-flame up chicken wings, Cornish Hen, grilled fruit & vegetables. "Hurricane ready"
I am telling you this thing will not let you down, period! I am fearful of the day I have to replace, but no sign of that anytime soon, no sign of aging as yet.

My two burnwr Tru-infrared grill is the best grill I have ever owned. It provides consistant grrll-master results. I take the credit, but my grill plays a big part in my success.
