Best Small Grill I've had

I've used it on Brats, Burgers, Steak and going to try some Salmon tonight. Everything cooked exactly as I wanted it with no flare up. I replaced a Weber Sprint and this grill does a much better job. I wish it had individual thermometers over each burner like the larger grills, but that is the only feature it is missing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this grill!

We bought this grill in 2011 and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. No flare ups.
It does have some hot spots but ours is actually more towards the back of the grill. Not a problem, I rotate the meat anyway. The trays beneath the grates did rust-and finally rusted through this year. Since it is 5 years old I wasn't upset at that and purchased new ones with no problem. Every thing else is still in great condition. Most every time I use it I do burn off the grease and the scrape off the grates and trays-and spray with cooking spray. My only regret is that I didn't get the 3 burner.

Excellent Grill

I'm a retired chef and have to say this grill is excellent. I saw someone said food sticks, it means it needs to cook a little longer to caramelize the product. No flare ups, Moist Steaks and Chicken, even Salmon on a plank. Yes it's a little less temperature near the edges but I rotate my food as I cook. Only thing I'm not crazy about it it has to be thoroughly cleaned more often. But the grilling is outstanding and am happy with it third year grilling.

This is supposed to be an improvement on the original CharBroil RED. It is not. Cooking right on the grate with no place for grease to go is not a good idea. I had to replace my grates in 8 months. Cleaning and care instructions from CharBroil do not prevent grease build up. I have buyers remorse in a BIG way !!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my first gas grill, for the first backyard we've had in NYC in a long time. It was easy to assemble, and so far, I have enjoyed using it.

Good grill, but not outstanding

I've had one of these for several years. It is nice looking, reasonably well-made. The grilling surface looks nice in the store, but it does rust. When I finish cooking, I leave the grease on the grill, and spray some spray cooking oil on the grill to protect it from rust. It works well. Just use a wire brush to clean the grill before use, and fire it up to burn off excess grease.
My biggest complaint about this grill is not the relatively small size of the cooking area. I can deal with that. My biggest complaint is that there is a very definite circle about 14" right in the center of the grill where the heat is the hottest. The edges are not as hot. This is OK if you're just cooking about three burgers at a time. Otherwise, if you're cooking two or more good size steaks (say a T-Bone), part of the steak will fall outside the true "hot zone." There is no mention of this uneven heating in the manual. It will, however, become evident to you once you have broken in the grill. You will see a clear 14" circle in the middle of the grill from where it burns off all the grease, and a greasy area around it where it doesn't get as hot.
So, If you're cooking, you need to be aware of this 14" circle of heat. Otherwise, you're going to get uneven cooking of your meat.
