Grill has rusted out within 5 years.

Good cooking grill but didn't hold up. Keep grill out of the weather and the inside the braces that holds the grates have rusted end to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second infaread grill from char Broil. We down sized and could not be happier! It will sear meat or slow cook.

IT COOKS GREAT, BUT VERY HARD TO CLEAN IF YOU USE BBQ SAUCE . I have the older model and have replaced the grates

I bought this grill a month ago to replace my previous CharBroil grill, which I had for about 6 years. The emitters keep an even heat anywhere on the grate, making it very easy to cook.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only had product since labor day. I have grilled on it several times and am not at all pleased with it. Temperature is impossible to control below 300 degrees. Smokes excessively while cooking and using the recommended 5-10 minute after cooking burn off. Stainless steel is beginning to discolor from smoke. Difficult and time consuming to clean. MUST be cleaned after every use. Cooks well and quickly only saving grace.
I purchased a Charbroil TRU Infrared grill last year for my Florida home and I love it. I honestly thought this grill would be as good.

Terrible QC in the manufacturing plant!

I owned another version of this and gave it up when I moved, good cooking results and very juicy meats. The one I just got for my new place looked like it was produced by drunks or maybe a return - numerous scrapes on the surfaces, bent surfaces on door and walls, huge number of dings and dents. I can't believe this made it into the box. I'm not going to take the trouble to repackage and return, but wanted to pass this note along so others can be sure to inspect all pieces before assembling and return if it's all banged up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
