I bought this on a recommendation of a friend. All I can say is WOWSER Infra Red is the only way to go. Talk about locking in the juices!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Good product, came with a few dented pieces and they shipped the replacements out right away. Could use a better wheel setup as the rod bends and I foresee that breaking. Overall satisfied with the performance.

Rusty grates, and no replacements

I like the tru infrared grilling of Char Broil. Previously we had a 2 burner economical grill with stainless steel grates. Loved it and wore it out. The replacement we bought came with porcelain coated grates. We followed cleaning instructions at first, but the grates wouldn't clean up with the nylon brush. Now they are rusted badly. A stainless steel brush is the only way to get the food off. I was hoping to replace the porcelain coated grates with stainless steel, and willing to pay extra for them. But they're not available. And to make matters worse, even the porcelain coated grates to replace the rusty ones aren't available! I'll be shopping for a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tough to clean grates

Purchased some time back. From day one, grates are hard to keep clean. New design has bottom and top of grates as separate pieces. Probably easier to clean

Had this product for 3 years and could not be more pleased! Love the infrared technology and never any flare-ups. Propane tanks actually seem to go longer between refills. Would recommend this product to anyone!

I've had this particular grill for about 10 years now. Before that I used a basic Char-Broil LP grill for almost 20 years, but that's a different story.
I'd highly recommend this infrared series to anyone just learning to grill on their own. Unfortunately it hasn't been good for me. My relearning curve has been long. I've ruined many steaks with a tough exterior and a cold raw center. Hand packed thick hamburgers we're the same. This year the curve has been slowed. Steaks and thick hamburgers are almost perfect. And hot dogs have become just right outside with piping hot centers. I'm now happy with the results. There were too many years I'd wished that Char-Broil would of had a buy back program. It's now becoming a keeper!

Nice even heating, very little flare up, and fun to use.
Grates are a little more difficult to clean, but are great for cooking.
