Cleaning

Hate the grates clog up with drippings and impossible to clean without removing and scraping very messy .this will be the start of third season all the burner parts are rusted and not working properly .The ignitor quit working .Overall sorry I bought this grill,really a disappointment.k

Poor Quality / Substandard Warranty Service

The heat shield rusts and falls, Char-Broil's answer is to send you a new firebox, not extending the warranty and requiring you to rebuild the entire grill. Doubtful they would cover any errors in rebuilding it too. Never Again Will I Purchase or Receive a Grill From Char-Broil. Nor will I allow any of my friends and family be subjected to all of this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear of the issues encountered with this grill. Grill model # 463371116 has a heat shield that easily attaches to the firebox. This heat shield is model # G460-2900-W2. The entire firebox would not need to be replaced. Please reference the product guide for this grill for more information. Terrible product less than 6 months of use second set of grates its all rusting out even the inside of the grill.

I haven't even cooked on it yet. Simply assembling it was a huge disappointment. My last Char Broil ("Commercial" grill) rusted out after way too few years. The quality of this one makes that one look good. I would take it back for a refund, unused, but transporting it is simply too much trouble. I'll cook on it until it falls apart (I expect to not make it six months) and then buy a new grill. And that new grill DEFINITELY WILL NOT be a Char Broil.

Bought for a graduation gift for my son. Grates are rusted and only used some last summer. Very disappointed for what we paid for it

buying my second grill, same model!

I have owned this grill for 3 years, and i love it. Took a little getting used to, but it is great! The grates get super hot, nice for searing, the cleaning tool works perfect that is provided. Again, it is different than grills that are not infrared, and i will never go back to the old style. I even slow cook on it, pull one grate and it acts like the old style grills for doing a roast on the upper rack. The grates are porcelain coated, it will get worn away. I don't know if the stainless are better than the porcelain for cleaning, but to replace the stainless steel grates is less expensive. Great grill!!!!!!!!!

We love the Char-Broil infrared barbecue for its nearly instant high heat to cook beef, chicken, hit dogs and more. We don't use much sauce as find the grates easier to clean without it. Such an easy way to cook all year. This one replaces our earlier one that was damaged during winter snow removal.
