The Holmes WeMo air purifier is the first purifier I've owned. Aesthetically speaking, it reminds me of an updated 1970's stereo speaker. Although big, it is tall rather than wide and therefor easier to place inconspicuously. Regarding sound level, the white noise is comforting to me, although the high setting could prove too loud for some people. This product is easy to use, and the set up is truly easy, if you can get past the obtuse instruction manual. Velcro sticky strips are not 'hooks'. Something must have been lost in translation. For a high ticket item, I really expect better instructions and sturdier assembly. The carbon filters should fit into a frame, not stick haphazardly with Velcro. Very frustrating trying to figure out how to put the filters together, and then embarrassing once the task was completed and I realized I was over-complicating things. The cord is a great length. As for the app; I don't consider it a selling feature. I only used it once, just to try it out. The app was ok to set up. Did not like entering in passwords just to turn on my purifier. The ability to schedule the unit is a nice feature, but unnecessary for me. I do not plan to run my purifier when I'm not at home. I've used the purifier after cleaning to get rid of chemical smells faster, and to remove any damp odors after cleaning the carpets - definitely helped. After cooking fragrant meals, or letting a pot overflow onto the burners, the purifier has helped rid the house of the unpleasant odors much faster than just the vent hood and fan. Simply using it once a day has eased up some of the sinus issues our family has. Glad to have it! Disclaimer: I was given this purifier to test in exchange for an honest review.

Good quality and whisper quiet

This "smart" air purifier is a sleek, sturdy upright unit (3' x 1' x 1') that uses two Aer1 HEPA filters to clean the air in any room of the house. This unit came with two high-quality allergy filters, and other filters can be purchased (about $20 each) for odor, smoke or "allergy plus." Changing the filters is as simple as removing the front cover, pulling the old filters and inserting the new ones. The controls on top are also simple to use, with one button to turn on low, medium, high or "auto-clean" (which selects the fan speed based on the amount of dust in the air), and another to toggle on the ionizer. On low, this unit is whisper-quiet, and fairly quiet on medium, but High can be a bit loud, though not overpowering (about the sound level of a box fan). Probably the best feature is the WeMo app for iPhone or Android that can control, monitor the filter life, and even program the unit to automatically turn on or off. But does it work as an air purifier? After using it for a week, I can say that yes, it definitely has helped remove a good deal of dust and cat dander, as I can see it in the filter, and the air does seem cleaner (less sneezing). I look forward to seeing how well it helps during pollen season. I received this unit to review, but the opinions are my own.

Love the app desire

Overall I like this product. I like that I can control settings with an app on my phone. I also like how I can view filter status and make any adjustments if needed. I didn't feel as though this made any difference to the air in my house. The app always gave the air in the room a good rating. Maybe in other months with higher allergy counts it will help. I am definitely going to keep using it to see. I received this product as a sample to review it.

This air purifier is great. I have two dogs and two cats and this air purifier has helped with the dust and dander. The Wemo app is so easy to use my 6 year old can turn it on/off. It looks nice in my home too. I received this product to use and review.

I purchased this purifier about a month ago because the air in my living room didn't feel as clean as it should. Not to mention the constant buildup of dust on table and bookshelf tops. When I installed the filters and turned it on, the difference was almost immediate...within an hour I could feel and see the results. Now I can breath better and don't have a dust cloth in my hand every day!
