[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in mid September but didn't need it until this week. Because of the new design the water tank doesn't stay flush against the motor part when filled with water. Therefore it is prevented from operating properly. Since I only had a month to return it I'm stuck with it collecting dust in the closet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WORKS OK BUT IT ONLY LASTFOR ABOUT 12 HOURS AND NOT 24 LIKE IT SAYS. DONT LIKE THAT YOU HAVE TO USE TREATMENT TABLETS EVERY TIME YOU FILL IT UP.. THE FILTERS ARE HARD TO FING CAUSE THEYARE SUPPOSE TO BE CHANGED EVERY MONTH.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value. Quiet. The tank fills and loads easily without spillage. It is winter and the my household air is dry. I use it in my bedroom. I am very happy with the amount of humidity and effectiveness of the humidifier. My plants are thriving well too, with the extra humidity. For my needs, this humidifier is a must for winter. However, it came with scent tablets to use in the water tank. These tablets are not really effective. No scent and not really necessary. These can be omitted in my opinion.

Bonus Filter ??

Unit comes with one filter - no "bonus" filter. http://www.prodregister/holmes shown on enclosed materials for warranty registration is an invalid web address. Online registration on Holmes main support page doesn't even ask for a model #. Just wants your eMail address. Get your ducks in a row !
