Bought this in Dec. It is most difficult to clean, the tanks are filled from the flat side so difficult to fill under most faucets. The output is also disappointing. I had a previous Holmes console humififier that I like so much better but after many years the tanks leaked so I bought this. No more

Humidifier Nightmare

I hate this humidifier. I have been using humidifiers in my home for over 25 yrs.; I usually have 2 small ones and 1 lg one on. This humidifier is poorly designed. The tanks are hard to fill, I don’t know how one would fill them if they didn’t have a utility tub like I have. It is also easy for water to spill on to the floor if it is bumped. Changing the filter is a nightmare, I absolutely hate doing it. All my other large room humidifiers were so easy, remove the cover, remove the old filter, drop the new filter in, replace the cover! Replacement of this filter takes a minimum of 15 min. and about 15 cuss words and scraping of one’s hands. After just a few days I was going to return it, but when I priced the cost of shipping, it was 75% of the cost of the humidifier.

Over Great experience

We have had this a couple months now and are very happy with it. We had an older model Holmes for about 10 years. The tanks on the old one were starting to seep and leak or we would still be using it. This unit is a little smaller but the tanks are a lot easier to fill although we have to fill them daily. The old unit held 7 gallons of water as compared to about 3 for this one. Lighter tanks means anyone can fill them pretty easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought as a gift. It is loud on the high setting and it only works on constant speed- won't do the different humidification settings. I only use on high so not an issue for us.

save your money

Junk is all I can say. The auto setting doesn't work the low fan setting doesn't keep up with the humidly. high speed fan is so loud you can only used it when you not home. I've complained about and they did send a new on to me free of charge and this one is still the same.

not effective

bought this product hoping to eliminate the smaller one we use but still had to use the smaller one also. This unit is loud, only two settings high(loud) and low not as effective. If u mess with the machine at all it does spill water and wasn't to happy because I just put new carpet and hardwood floor in my house, have to set in one a rug folded over twice to keep from getting new carpet wet. The one thing I like is it will run for 24-30 hours without filling kit. Not happy with this humidifier.
