I bought this three days ago following instructions to a tee and this thing sounds like it has a short in it.. fan cuts in and out .. very dissatisfied do not recommend this.. probably a fire hazard

I hate this humidifier. I have been using humidifiers in my home for over 25 yrs.; I usually have 2 small ones and 1 lg one on. This humidifier is poorly designed. The tanks are hard to fill, I don’t know how one would fill them if they didn’t have a utility tub like I have. It is also easy for water to spill on to the floor if it is bumped. Changing the filter is a nightmare, I absolutely hate doing it. All my other large room humidifiers were so easy, remove the cover, remove the old filter, drop the new filter in, replace the cover! Replacement of this filter takes a minimum of 15 min. and about 15 cuss words and scraping of one’s hands. After just a few days I was going to return it, but when I priced the cost of shipping, it was 75% of the cost of the humidifier.

I like this humidifier, its got a quiet setting that provide a nice white noise at night. Two smaller tanks that make filling up easier to manage. I wish it had an indicator light when the tanks are empty.

Door has a bad buzzing noise on low.

I ordered this directly from the Holmes website.It arrived today. This is a very loud unit on low.The whole unit buzzes. mostly the door. If I press against it while running it is not so loud. I am not impressed.Not 1 week as in the drop down options below.
